A Gentle Story for Night Weaning & Toddler Sleep
Help your little one transition away from night nursing with "Waiting for the Morning Sun"—a heart-centered guide by Sleep Consultant Lisa Falkenstein.
"Will I ever sleep again without losing our bond?"
I’ve heard this question from so many parents who are completely spent, but terrified that night weaning means "leaving their baby to cry."
I wrote Waiting for the Morning Sun because I wanted to give you a different option. This isn't a textbook or a rigid sleep plan. It’s a story meant to be read in the rocking chair, designed to help your toddler understand a big change: that milk is for the daytime, but Mama’s love is for always.
The Heart of the Story
In the book, Little Bear is hit with those "big feelings" when the routine shifts. Mama Bear doesn't walk away. She stays close, offers a hug, and reminds him that she's right there in the dark with him.
It gives you a "mantra" to say during those tough 2:00 AM wake-ups so you aren't just reacting—you’re leading with a calm, steady heart.
Why I created this for you
Between my degree in Family Studies and years running Nurtured Foundation, I’ve seen that sleep is a relationship, not a set of rules. I started Gentle Journey Sleep Co. to help parents move past the exhaustion without feeling like they have to "break" their child’s spirit.
Whether you’re dealing with the 4-month regression or a toddler who won’t let go, this book is your starting point for a more restful home.
*This book was created through the Legacy Storybook program as part of my certification through the Sleep Trifecta System TM. It is published under the Empath Kids imprint, supporting stories that nurture emotional awareness, connection, and inner safety in children.
